LEMONGRASS

This delicious herb is not only a hit in Asian cuisine, but is also causing a sensation in cosmetics with its fresh citrus flavour. In the Balikaru Cooking Class, you used lemongrass for sambal matah and conjured up an incredibly tasty seasoning sauce together with onions, garlic, shrimp paste and chillies. Fancy lemongrass at home?
At Warung Balikaru you can take your lemongrass home in packs.

CORIANDER SEEDS

are part of our Base Genap, the delicious Balinese basic spice paste that adds the ultimate kick to all kinds of dishes. The secret of this little spice miracle is its wonderfully spicy, nutty flavour – a wild mixture of flavours that are also found in marjoram, thyme, nutmeg and pepper.
Our insider tip: roast the coriander seeds briefly and the flavour will literally explode!
